At Cotes, we believe that building a sustainable future is not only about protecting our climate and assets — it’s also about strengthening the communities we are part of. That’s why we are proud to announce that Cotes is now an official Supporting Company in InterForce, the Danish organisation bridging the civilian and military sectors to reinforce national safety and emergency preparedness.

On 13 August, we welcomed InterForce Ambassadors Major Jan Erik Elgaard and Major Per Bøch Andersen to our Viby headquarters for the official handover of our certificate of support. During the visit, Jan Erik explained:

“As an ambassador for InterForce — part of the Danish Defence Command — my role is to build understanding and support in the civilian sector for Denmark’s defence and emergency preparedness. We work to ensure that Danish companies give their employees the opportunity to serve in uniform, whether in the Reserve, the Home Guard, the Emergency Management Agency, or the Coastal Rescue Service. This cooperation strengthens both our national resilience and the communities we serve.”

Why This Matters

InterForce brings together the civilian sector, government, and Denmark’s defence and emergency services in a powerful collaboration. By supporting InterForce, Cotes not only strengthens critical national preparedness but also lives up to our core values:

  • Responsibility – We take action where it matters most, enhancing resilience and safeguarding communities across Denmark.

  • Quality – Just as we ensure excellence in our humidity solutions, we uphold the highest standards in how we support those who serve.

  • Trust – By formally supporting the Reserve Force, we reaffirm the trust placed in us by colleagues, customers, and society—standing by those who protect our safety and future.

Our Commitment in Practice

As part of our InterForce pledge, Cotes will offer up to 5 days of paid leave per calendar year for employees in Denmark who volunteer or serve in the Reserve Force. This applies to:

  • Volunteers in the Home Guard (Hjemmeværnet)

  • Reservists under contract with the Armed Forces or the Home Guard

  • Volunteers in the Coastal Rescue Service (Kystredningstjenesten)

  • Volunteers in the Danish Emergency Management Agency (Beredskabsstyrelsen)

By removing barriers for employees to serve, we’re helping ensure that critical skills and manpower are available when Denmark needs them most.

More Than an Agreement — A Shared Responsibility

Joining InterForce is more than signing a declaration. It’s a public statement: Cotes stands with those who give their time, skills, and commitment to protecting our society.

It’s also part of our broader CSR approach, which integrates social responsibility alongside environmental stewardship. Just as our dehumidification solutions protect valuable assets for the long term, our support for the Reserve Force helps protect something even more important — our people and our communities.

"We are proud to join the many Danish companies who have stepped forward to support InterForce. Together, we can ensure that when our communities face challenges, they can count on all of us — in uniform, in business, and in life."
