Cotes Lightweight

CL26

Lightweight adsorption dehumidifier for mobile and temporary drying

The CL26 is part of the Cotes Lightweight product family. It is an adsorption dehumidifier developed to meet requirements for low weight, safe manual handling, and easy transport, while maintaining Cotes’ proven rotor-based drying principle.

The designation CL26 follows Cotes naming logic: CL refers to Cotes Lightweight, and 26 refers to the rotor size used in the adsorption process.

Position within the Cotes Lightweight product family

Cotes Lightweight centres on the CL26 and represents a deliberate design approach compared to traditional fixed-installation Cotes units.

The product range was originally developed to meet strict HSE-related requirements around transport and handling, driven by wind-industry logistics and storage needs. The resulting design has since proven applicable in a wider range of temporary and fast-deployment drying tasks.

A key architectural difference is the cabinet concept: the CL26 is designed using high-performance plastic materials (including recycled plastic) rather than the traditional heavy-duty stainless-steel cabinet approach used in many fixed-installation Cotes platforms.

Lightweight design: Designed for low weight (10,9kg) and practical manual handling in temporary and mobile drying use cases.
Adsorption rotor principle: Rotor-based adsorption dehumidification for reliable moisture removal across varying ambient conditions.
Compatible with Window Kit: Compatible with Cotes Window Kit for quick and easy exhaust of moist air through open window.
Two operating points (documented data): Dry air 350 / 250 m³/h, regeneration air 65 / 40 m³/h, moisture removal 0.8 / 1.1 kg/h, connected load 1.01 / 1.57 kW.
Design-led engineering recognition: The CL26 design has been recognised with a Red Dot Award, reflecting the focus on usability and purpose-designed construction.
Standardised Modular architecture: Shares cabinet design, airflow principle and control philosophy with other Cotes Modular units, supporting engineering consistency.

What is the CL26 designed for?
open close

The CL26 is designed for moisture protection and drying tasks where mobility, safe handling, and fast deployment are important—such as temporary drying, storage protection, construction-related drying, and similar use cases.

The Lightweight family was developed to reduce weight and support safe manual handling for transport and deployment. The CL26 therefore uses high-performance plastic materials (including recycled plastic) rather than a traditional stainless-steel cabinet approach.

Key parameters should be defined before selection:

  • Required dry-air capacity at specified temperature and humidity conditions
  • Ducting layout (if any) and external pressure requirements
  • Electrical supply and installation constraints
  • Site handling and placement requirements

Performance should be evaluated at documented reference conditions.
